GREENPOST

At-home composting service

at-a-glance

We wanted to solve the issue of accessibility to composting in urban areas such as colleges, apartment buildings, and office spaces by providing a private service that would deliver supplies and pick up leftover waste.

project overview

The main problem we tackled was food waste. After weeks of researching different ways and reasons consumers threw out their food, we dove deep into a customer analysis of personal composting experiences. We learned that many people had never composted before, that those who have composted do not have access to composting currently, and people didn't understand how composting worked.

Greenpost is a private composting service aimed to provide the composting supplies and pick-up for those who want to do their part for the environment. The app educates users on composting and incentivizes users to pay for this service by offering monetary rewards.
